Google Chrome Music Lab

Music runs in the blood, and I'm always looking for the easiest way to get something down. I'd know of the Google Chrome Music Lab for awhile; it didn't capture my full attention until I started to record podcast episodes. Check out a few of the short melodies I created for transitions!

This was my first foray into getting music thoughts out quickly. They are quite chip-tune like, but I like them. Deal with it 😎

FL Studio

FL Studio is a great digital audio workstation (DAW). The user interface doesn't look nearly as scary compared to something like Ableton, and the default sounds aren't too shabby! With extra features come an increased learning curve though, and right now I'm still figuring it out. My beats may be basic, but one day they may be the greatest.

I lucked out pretty hard on this one. Many years ago I bought the OG Razer Stealth gaming laptop. At the time I didn't really care, but it came with a free copy of FL Studio Profession (A $200 value!!!). Image-Line operates under a buy-it-once and receive free updates forever; which subsequently has allowed me to sneak in 5 years later and hop on my music train.
